About

I'm an IT professional with a B.S. in Computer Engineering and certifications in CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, and AWS Cloud Practitioner. I'm focused on IT support and infrastructure work now, with a clear direction toward security operations.

My background spans IT operations, cloud infrastructure, and web development — shaped largely by real-world experience running a small business, doing freelance technical work, and building hands-on projects from scratch. That range has made me adaptable and practical, especially in environments where you have to figure things out as you go.

I'm drawn to work that has a clear technical outcome — whether that's keeping systems healthy, diagnosing what's broken, or building something that didn't exist before. I take ownership, communicate clearly, and don't need a lot of hand-holding to get things done.

Cloud & Infrastructure

I built and deployed a serverless application on AWS — S3, CloudFront, Lambda, DynamoDB, and API Gateway — provisioned with CloudFormation and deployed automatically through GitHub Actions. The site is live and the source is public on GitHub.

I also built a Windows Server 2022 Active Directory lab environment: domain controller with DNS and DHCP, organizational units, Group Policy, security groups, and hybrid identity through Entra Connect with password hash synchronization.

Security

Security is where I'm heading. I hold CompTIA Security+ and applied security fundamentals throughout my lab work — access control, Group Policy enforcement, MFA, and patch management. I've practiced with tools like Burp Suite and Kali Linux through independent study, and I'm continuing to build security operations skills through hands-on labs. My engineering background helps me understand systems at the depth security work requires.
